A rally driving experience can be your thrill of a lifetime if you take the chance to do it sometime. Sure, driving the kids to school, going to the supermarket and driving to work are a part of daily life but there are all sorts of off road driving escapades waiting to be explored. Off road driving or rally driving, is driving on unpaved, raw roads such as sand, gravel, riverbeds, mud, snow, rocks, and other natural environments. It involves driving a highly specialized automobile such as a four-wheel drive or an all terrain vehicle through such natural surroundings. Rally driving is a sport which has become quite popular with people who are looking for a high adrenaline filled, recreational pursuit.
Off-roading first emerged in the early 20th century, and actually materialized as a television show on ABC. It quickly became so popular that it was named a full-fledged sport. The amateur off-road drivers of the 1950's were paid next to nothing for participating in the sport. Then, in 1960 Eric Carlsson became the world's first rally driving celebrity. The Nordics dominated rally driving in the 1970's. Today, the World Rally Championship caters to almost all the continents.
Off road driving is also known as "autocross" in the UK. Many people believe rally driving is all about speed, but it entails skill as well. However, rally driving emphasizes a driver's handling of his/her vehicle as well as his/her skill in navigating tricky spots or speeds. Of all the motorsports you can get involved in, off roading is the most affordable and inexpensive. It caters to the middle class as well as the elite. It has become a lucrative business for car manufacturers too, as they are able to show off their products in rally driving competitions or other off-road events. Races test vehicle performance, reliability, and safety for consumer approval.
There are two types of major rally driving experiences: stage and road rallies. Stage rallies are basically the more professional branch of racing that uses direct speed and stretches of roads that are closed off from urban traffic. Drivers must be able to negotiate such surfaces and environments as forest trails, snow, sand, asphalt, and mountain passes. This type of rally driving experience is mainly popular in Europe, Asia and Australia. Drivers with accuracy and navigational skills often win stage rallies. Road rallies are the original form of rally driving, and are known sometimes as the "time-speed-distance rally." The earlier road rally races were known as trials and some of the races are still known as trials today. Road rallies cover all types of surfaces across the world and you never know where and when they will hold a race. This keeps each road rally driving experience exciting and captivating for the drivers as well as their audience and fans. Rally driving experiences are very popular among common people such as motor clubs and individuals who are fans of motor sports.

Are you sold on the idea of buying a hybrid car? If so, what type are you going for? the phrase 'hybrid car' covers several different versions of the 'hybrid' process model. People already have a number of variables in mind as they make their way to the dealer, make, model, style, color etc., and now they have to also consider what they exactly want from their hybrid car. The affect of yet more choice on customers may go either way. Often purchasers are already blown away with the range of colors and accessories offered to them. Now, they face this fact: They have to choose between several different types of hybrid cars. Of course a person is expected to choose the hybrid car that most meets his requirements. We therefore need to review the different types of hybrid cars available. First type: The full hybrid Theoretically this is the best of the bunch of hybrid types. This type of hybrid car can provide motive power to drive the car forward once the wheels have started turning. A full hybrid provides this power output without using any gasoline assisted power whatsoever through this phase. Thus the conventional gasoline driven part of the unit is used merely to get movement underway. Second type: The parallel hybrid car The parallel hybrid is fitted with both a conventional gasoline engine and an electric motor. A gasoline tank supplies the conventional engine and rechargeable batteries supply the electric motor. Both motors provide motive force to drive the vehicle forward. Third type: The series hybrid car The series hybrid has a gasoline driven engine that in turn drives a generator. The output from the generator is used in one of two ways. It either provides a power supply directly to the motor or as a charging facility for the batteries. These batteries then provide power to the electric motor that propels the transmission. Thus in the series hybrid car, the gasoline fuelled conventional engine is never directly used to provide motive power to propel the vehicle forward. The current marketplace for hybrid cars only offers parallel hybrid models. Some current concept cars should fall into the series hybrid category, but for some reason auto manufacturers appear reluctant to acknowledge the fact. It would take a braver person than me to claim Oil Company influence here, so I will not go there. Suffice to say, the public is left to guess the exact types of hybrid car being offered in the future. Yet another type?: The plug-in hybrid car Now here's a thing. Just as the average automotive consumer was understanding the difference between the electric car that you plugged in and the hybrid car that you did not, along comes the plug-in hybrid car! Your guess is as good as mine as to whether this is a serious development or just a throw away line by some smart marketing executive. In looking at the ranges currently available and what manufacturers are involved with which type of hybrid car, When thinking about what manufacturers make each type of hybrid car, fuelled hybrids would be represented by the Lexus, Toyota and Ford. Whilst Honda and Saturn hybrid cars however cannot be called full hybrids despite the advertising claims that you may come across. As always, auto manufacturers have provided these different types of hybrid cars to give people more options and more ideas. Within these variations should be something to satisfy everyone that is interested in driving a hybrid car. Everyone should of course choose their target purchase of a hybrid car to align with their personal taste, budget and driving needs. Clearly, some of the hybrid car models are more costly than others. Some people want all the latest accessories, others are happy to go with basic models. It is nice to have the choice though isn't it? Over the years, the industry has shown that people often change their view on what they want from a car. The introduction of the hybrid car has not changed that fact. Clearly then, as people do change their view on hybrid cars, the automotive industry has demonstrated its readiness to respond.

A converter separates water into a gas called HHO (2 hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atom) using the electricity from the battery of the vehicle. A converter produces hydrogen that is required by the vehicle. This gas is called Brown's Gas, which burns smoothly. It delivers the atomic potency of hydrogen and also retains the stability of water. Once burned as fuel in the vehicle the end product is H2O! It is easy to install, affordable and a quart of water can last for months. HHO is a form of gas created by electrolysis. Ordinary water contains a ton of energy, but the trick is to get that energy out without using a lot of energy to do so. The creation of pure hydrogen gas is impossible. As of now, it is not even economical for large corporations but the financial reward for them will be huge once they figure it out. Of course you and I will then have to buy expensive hydrogen burning vehicles and still be held hostage at the pumps, and ride around on a tank of highly combustible fuel! Thousands of people all over the world are converting their cars to run on water by building their own hydrogen generators. The HHO that is created on demand is safe and when combined with ordinary gas, increases the fuel mixtures efficiency and allow it to burn completely therefore increasing the gas mileage. A vehicle will then have cleaner emissions and we will be spending less on gas! Imagine how much money we will save every month if we cut our fuel costs by 40% or more. Some drivers report their gas costs have dropped by 50% and more after installing a converter. Thousands of automobile owners are already using this method safely without issues. You can set up a water hybrid conversion using parts easily available at a hardware store.

Pretty self-explanatory isn’t it? It’s a stereo system in a car, you say. Whoa, hold your horses, it’s not that simple. Although some people like to put home stereos in their cars and vans (out of dire need for some sounds), sometimes it just doesn’t work. Yeah, maybe before it could’ve worked just fine, all you needed was radio and a cassette player (or 8 tracks, for the inner dinosaur in you) so sure, lug those big box speakers into the back seat and you’ll be blaring down the highway. But nowadays there are things like cd players and mp3 players and your popup LCD panels and all that techie knickknack you’d think they’d like to build a home theater system right smack on the console of your van. If you don’t know anything about these things but would like to have some sounds in your car anyway, here are some things to know about a car stereo.
As mentioned above, at first units and speakers from home audio systems and professional markets were just simply installed into vehicles. However, they were not well suited to the extremes of temperature and vibration which are a normal part of the environment of an automobile. Car stereo enthusiasts were not satisfied with the sound quality of regular car sound systems, and with the advent of the CD player, they really had to start modifying some of these home stereos in order to work well in a car environment and voila!, now we have the modern car stereo.
If you have a new car, first hand bought, say from about 90 to present, chances are you already have a “factory” car stereo in your car. It means the car manufacturer already included a car stereo system in your car, unless specified in the car model but most often this is the case. Some car manufacturers make their own car stereos, like BMW which includes a pretty decent car stereo package head unit and speakers. It is a standard which comes with all their cars (which isn’t surprising considering that BMW is included in the league of “luxury car manufacturers”). Or like Mercedes Benz or Volkswagen, they use car stereo systems from a German audio manufacturer called Blaupunkt.
A standard car stereo (also called a head unit) usually includes an auto-reverse tape deck, a cd player and sometimes the optional changer â€" a device which automatically changes the cd in play. On newer car models, the car stereo can also play mp3s and other digital audo file types like WMA and AAC, whether on a cd or a memory device which can be hooked up to the head unit.
The car stereo head unit is connected to several speakers. Older car models usually just had one speaker mounted underneath the dashboard, pointing through perforations towards the front windshield. The standard for car stereo nowadays is a pair of “tweeters” (used to bring out high treble) on the driver side/front passenger side dashboard, a pair of normal “mid” speakers on both doors, sometimes even the backseat passeger doors if it’s a large car and larger speakers capable of bringing out low ends at the back protion of the backseats.
Your car stereo is probably ok as it is, as car manufacturers ensure that the audio products that come with their cars can handle most dirver’s listening demands. But if you think that what you have isn’t enough, you can always CUSTOMIZE.
